Huge congratulations to the RKD Running Team who competed in their first event, The Grant Thornton Corporate 5K Challenge around Dublin’s Docklands District.
The route passes close to Riverside IV offices and One Dockland Central, designed by RKD.
For many of the RKD runners it was their first time running in a formal race.
Every team member set a personal best on the night, which was a fantastic achievement.
Now with a taste for competition, with the added benefit of raising funds for charity, the team is looking forward to more events next year.
The Grant Thornton Corporate 5K Challenge is organised by Athletics Ireland as one of its key fundraising events to support its Junior High Performance programme which supports young emerging talented athletes to fulfil their potential. In addition, the ISPCC Child Line service received 10% of all entrants’ fees to assist their work in supporting vulnerable children nationwide.
