RKD, an international design consultancy with ten offices across seven countries, has moved its Cork team to new premises at Tellengana in Blackrock, continuing a presence in the city that dates back to 2002.

Over that time, the Cork office has helped shape the region’s built environment through projects such as the Tyndall National Institute, Eli Lilly at Dunderrow and BioMarin at Shanbally. Its work also reaches well beyond Ireland, from hyperscale data centres for global technology clients across Europe to one of the world’s largest tequila distilleries, completed for Diageo in Latin America. With specialist knowledge in areas including data centres, advanced manufacturing, life sciences and sustainability, the team works in partnership with clients to solve complex design and delivery challenges with creativity and certainty.

The move follows the 2025 consolidation of RKD’s Dublin headquarters at The Eight Building, as the practice continues to grow internationally. RKD designed the fit-out of the new space, creating a setting suited to the scale and complexity of the work ahead and supported by a strong and expanding pipeline of projects.

The new office was officially opened on Thursday, 8 October, with clients, partners and colleagues joining the team to mark the occasion. Séan Hogan, Director and Sustainability + Research Sector Lead, reflected on RKD’s journey in Cork and the strong presence and expert team the practice has built in the city. He was joined by David Petherbridge, Managing Director, who spoke about the practice’s continued growth and its ambitions for the future.

We would like to thank everyone who attended and contributed to such an enjoyable evening.
