Global Network Strategy & Product Scale Up Assessment​

Following the acquisition of a new product portfolio, RKD was engaged by a confidential life sciences client to determine the optimal long-term manufacturing strategy across its European network. The study assessed multiple production sites located in several countries, evaluating their suitability for product transfer, scale-up and commercial supply.​

RKD conducted a detailed review of site capabilities, available capacity, technical fit, workforce expertise, infrastructure, regulatory status and capital investment requirements. Stakeholder workshops were held across the network to understand operational constraints and strategic objectives. ​

Multiple manufacturing scenarios were developed and assessed against cost, risk,speed-to-market, supply chain resilience and future expansion potential. The selected strategy identified the preferred scale-up location and a phased implementation road map, enabling the client to maximize the value of the acquisition while minimizing investment risk and ensuring long-term network efficiency.​
